THis motel is under going renovations. I dont really have anything good to say except the staff was very good.

Wall paper falling off walls in bathroom. Shower curtain milddewed. Not a pretty sight.

Lakeside Inn was a peaceful place to stay. The lakeside view was absolutely gorgeous especailly around this time of year! As well as the view this Inn was located rather close to Casino Ramma. The complementory breakfast in the morning was perfect for me being as I had to head out in a hurry and didn't wish to stop anywhere on the way home. The rooms were furnished rather well and all of my needs were definately met. All in all between the view and the room the rates were reasonable.I would definately go back again for a vist with the friendly staff if nothing else!

Positive new owners that were very friendly and helpful, i enjoyed talking to them, they were really nice, and very knowledgeable. The hotel has a great location by the lake which was beautiful and has a gorgeous sunset view.Breakfast was incredible, the food was great, fresh, and the coffee was spot on.The hotel was close to a casino, which was easy to get to and soo much fun!! The rates were very affordable, and was great value for my money, i can't wait to stay there on my next trip!!

      • Older travelers

New owners were very nice, they had our room cleaned (although the room was very old and chair very worn, the sheets and towels were white as snow) bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable the breakfast was great. It needs a lot of repair that the owners said they were working on remodeling, we would stay there the next time we went to Casino. Looking forward to the new remodeled rooms. Loved sitting on the porch watch the lake

It was old and shabby when we first drove up didn't know if we wanted to stay, but was surprise when the owners told us to go and look at the room before paying, We stayed because it was so clean that was a very pleasant surprise.

Where the Inn is situated is lovely, nice view of the lake

It is extremily shabby, needs complete renovation, the place hasn't been touched in 30 years, I'd say. Rooms are basic, worn with dirt ground in over the year. Outside there are weeds, cobwebs, rubble and rubbish. We literaly slept there and left early, as soon as we woke up, did not want to stay a minute longer than I had to.

      • Group of friends

--Staff gave us a discount on the room -This place was cheap, and you could walk across the street to the lake which was nice.

-Bathroom had a hole in the wall -left over food on floor -left over clothing from the previous occupant -left over medication from previous occupant -poor lock on door -dirty coffee pot -hair in bed

spiders in room and on motel

      • Group of friends

The Lakeside Inn has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in. We would have left but I would have had to pay for the room anyway.

I did not have my camera, but you can go check it out for yourself. The main office had spiderwebs in the corner (with spider). The rooms smelt musty or mouldy. Our room was in the rear of the Inn. It was unlit and there were no steps. My mother is disabled and she had to struggle to get up the landing. There was no light in the foyer to our room (thank God). The room was so dirty. The windows hadn't been cleaned in years. There were spiders in each corner of the room. The balcony was littered with garbage. The next morning when we left and saw the foyer there were wires hanging down and the filth was incredible. My mother and I both came to Orillia for the cmt Festival and we booked the hotel at the last minute. She came from Magnetewan and I came from Newmarket. We really were stuck there.

      • Couple

I did not like anything about this place. It is the worst place i have ever stay at. I was afraid to touch anything, it smelled bad, chairs, floors, everythign was dirty, stained and gross. This hotel should be reported to health and safety inspector for the poor condition it is in.

Nothing. The worst place on the planet. It was so rundown and filthy I couldn't even take a shower. You must remove it from your site as it is not suitable for human use.

Do not stay here. It is so filthy that words can my describe. Not worth 50 cents.

      • Group of friends

There was a mix-up with the reservation between and the hotel, so we were unable to get our two queen beds room. The staff at the hotel were accommodating though so we were upgraded to a cabin. However, the cabins do not face the water and are down the road from the main hotel. The cabin had peeling wall paper and paint on the walls, missing fixtures on the furniture and was overall very run down and uncomfortable. No a/c (which should be mentioned in your posting) and their service desk is not open 24hrs although they post that it is. We could not even check out at 7am when we wanted to leave since no one answered the door.

      • Older travelers

I wanted a clean room and a comfortable bed which is what we got. They are working on fixing up the place & I would stay there again.

      • Older travelers

This was a return visit for us and the location, price and cleanliness and functionality of the rooms were all superb. The Inn is undergoing renovations and we noticed small improvements from our last stay, which was about six weeks previously. The bathroom and the kitchen amenities are all freshly done and the carpets are new and clean. Free Wi-Fi is a nice bonus. Great place for the price!

This property is a work in progress. The bedspreads and curtains are somewhat dated and give the rooms an older appearance. New coverlets and drapes would make the room seem much more modern.

My stay was short, but good, I would stay again

There was a humming noise that was annoying, and it was there all the time, not sure what it was

      • Couple

        - Well priced, easy to book a room. - Staffing was very helpful when asked about restaurants etc - Clean, beautiful rooms, on the lake. - Great t.v., bathrooms - Warm and cozy -Safe location.
